2019 - The First-Ever International Awareness Day
On Thursday, March 21, 2019, over 500 fourth graders from eight Tift County elementary schools descended upon the campus of UGA-Tifton for the first-ever International Awareness Day. Created as part of the campus' 100th anniversary celebration, the event's purpose was to expose local students to the culture of the various countries represented by UGA-Tifton faculty, staff and students. Planning for next year's event is already underway.
