In an effort to increase international collaboration on research and outreach projects, the Office of Global Programs at the University of Georgia College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences has awarded its 2015 international travel grants for college faculty.

Graduate Student Studies Overseas
Studying overseas was an eye-opening experience for University of Georgia graduate student Camden Lowrance. Six months in Greece allowed Lowrance to work on his master’s thesis and to prove that he could more than survive — he could excel at his work — in a foreign country.

Concerned Georgia farmers gathered in Atlanta, Macon and Tifton on Wednesday, March 20 to hear a summary of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s new Food Safety Modernization Act. Proposed by Congress, the act was developed in an effort to improve the safety of the nation’s food supply.
