Transferring to UGA-Tifton
Why UGA-Tifton?
UGA-Tifton is the perfect place to experience personalized education while reaping the benefits of being connected with a large university. The undergraduate degrees offered at UGA-Tifton are degree-completion programs intended for transfer students. Students interested in transferring to UGA-Tifton must meet the following requirements:
- Graduated from high school at least 12 months prior to the term of intended enrollment
- Completed 60+ credit hours and have a minimum of a 2.8 GPA
Completion of an associate's degree is encouraged. UGA maintains a core-to-core transfer agreement with University System of Georgia (USG) institutions and will likely accept all courses from these institutions.
To determine if specific courses will transfer, students are encouraged to use the UGA Transfer Equivalency system. If you are not transferring from a USG institution, please check the search system to be sure completed courses will transfer.
UGA-Tifton strives to meet each student's individual, educational goals and also encourages students to consult with an admissions counselor as early as possible or request a transfer plan to be certain pre-requisites for their chosen major are met.

This program reflects UGA Tifton’s mission to advance agricultural and environmental sciences in Georgia by providing accessible, high-quality education and preparing the next generation of agricultural leaders.
