Animal & Dairy Science

Faculty in the Department of Animal and Dairy Science conduct research and provide Extension programming in the areas of nutrition, heat stress abatement, mammary physiology, forage utilization, and management for aquaculture, beef and dairy producers. To facilitate these activities, the department has animal production units located at the Tifton campus, Alapaha Range Station, and Irwinville Bull Evaluation Center. Faculty also serve as instructors for several classes in support of degree programs offered on the Tifton campus.
