Instructions for Presenters
We appreciate you helping us with this educational morning for students! Below we have tried to provide information about the day for your convenience.
Please arrive by 8:30 a.m. Students will be arriving at your station at 9:00 a.m. and will stay until 12:00 p.m. It may take a little longer for all the students to get back to the buses.
The day may start out cool, but can get hot as it progresses. There will be a lot of walking, so please dress appropriately.
Based on previous events, we have found that it is more efficient for two classes to move as one group. You may see 36 to 40 children at each time.
Format of Program
Stations will be on the north side of the campus (NESPAL building and Future Farmstead area). Each station will last 15-20 minutes, and classes will move in a set rotation. There will be no announced time to move, so please be aware of your time. Guides will be there to assist you with timing. As soon as a school arrives, they will be allowed to start if it’s 9:00 a.m.
Presentations should be geared to the Georgia Performance Standards, whenever possible.
- View the science standards for Georgia's third grade students.
- View the science standards for Georgia's fourth grade students.
Please check the list of stations on this website as well as the map to see where you will be located. Directions to our campus and parking instructions are also available.
Restrooms are located in the NESPAL building.
We are sincerely appreciative of the time you have invested in helping us provide this opportunity for students and would like to show our appreciation by inviting you to lunch. At Noon please move to the lobby of NESPAL for lunch. Your name tag is your lunch ticket and must be presented to the caterer in order to receive lunch. Also, please watch for refreshments circulating while you are presenting. This event is only possible through your willingness to participate, and we want you to know how much you are appreciated!!
If you do not plan to eat, please let Katie Wilson know so that we do not order too much food. Thank you!
